raises more than $18 million dollars since 1998
Denver, CO (December 18, 2018) – For two decades, employees at
PCL Construction have participated in yearly fundraising campaigns for the Mile
High United Way. This year, 148 employees, or 76-percent of PCL employees,
donated nearly half a million dollars, and through other fundraising events and
company matching efforts donated a total of $816, 611 to the local non-profit.
The campaign, which ran from August 27 through September 7,
included a hosted golf tournament, a wine cork pull event, and 50/50 raffle.
“PCL employees are so generous not only through monetary
donations, but also with their time,” said president and COO of PCL’s US
Operations, Deron Brown. “Each year our United Way campaigns seem bigger and
better, and each year, our employees eagerly participate knowing that they’re
helping one of the most respected non-profits in our community.”
The support provided by PCL Construction helps ensure Mile
High United Way is caring for community members in need as well as helping fund
important initiatives such as; ensuring children entering school are ready to
succeed, children are reading at grade-level by the end of third grade, and
youth exiting the child welfare system are prepared for the future and entry
into the workforce.
