PCL Construction has 12 projects in Canada’s Top 100

Edmonton, Alberta (Feb. 24, 2020) – PCL Construction is proud to announce that 12 of its projects have been named among ReNew Canada’s Top 100 Infrastructure Projects, granting PCL Platinum status on this year’s list.
 

Mike Wieninger, PCL’s COO, Canadian Operations, said, “It is always pleasing to see recognition go to construction projects that PCL has had the privilege to be a part of. These 12 projects are great examples of our expertise in the buildings sector across Canada.”

The following PCL projects are included on this year’s list:

  1. ​BMO Convention and Trade Centre Expansion project, Calgary
  2. Calgary Cancer Centre
  3. CAMH Phase 1C Redevelopment, Toronto
  4. Corner Brook Acute Care Hospital
  5. Energy Services Acquisition Program (ESAP) / Energy Service Modernization (ESM), Ottawa
  6. Hospital for Sick Children, Patient Support Centre; Toronto
  7. Library and Archives Canada’s New Preservation Facility, Gatineau
  8. Macdonald Block Reconstruction, Toronto
  9. Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital, Vaughan
  10. Parliamentary Precinct Rehabilitation Project, Ottawa
  11. QEII New Generation Project, Halifax (PCL is renovating the Dartmouth General Hospital as part of this health-care megaproject for the Government of Nova Scotia.)
  12. Vancouver International Airport Upgrades

The 2020 Top100 Projects have a combined value of more than $240 billion. According to ReNew Canada, this is the richest list of public sector infrastructure projects, by more than $25 billion, under development in Canadian history.

The annual report ranks projects in order of contract value. The list was celebrated with top contractors at a dinner held on February 18, 2020 in Toronto.
