When completing hotel renovations, time is money. A contractor’s lingering presence on site can deter guests from booking stays, resulting in loss of revenue for hotel operators. At the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort, located in Marco Island, Florida, PCL revamped more than 62,000 square-feet in 78 working days. Everything from the lobby to the porte-cochère, the grand entrance and two restaurants saw renovations completed in time for the resort’s peak season. 

Weathering the Storm  

When sunny skies take a turn, emergency response and storm repair contracts become essential. Working alongside clients like Host Hotels & Resorts and Tishman Hotel Corporation, we travel to locations outside our typical range, performing construction services that address our clients’ immediate needs. Weather emergencies don’t have a timeline or adhere to workday hours, but we respond at a moment’s notice to create solutions for clients wherever they need us most.  

Fully Functional 

When lodging supports the most visited theme parks in the world and hotel operators can’t decide between renovations or guest accommodations, they choose both. In total, PCL has renovated more than 9,000 guestrooms on Disney property alone, while the resorts remained open and fully operational. Although construction is present at the hotel, the renovation is all but invisible to guests, as work is completed behind the scenes. PCL considers every option, scheduling construction around hotel activities to minimize interruptions to travelers’ experiences.
