At the heart of Kori Shingles’ work is connection. As senior community engagement manager for PCL Construction in Minneapolis, Shingles builds and sustains relationships with community organizations, public agencies, workforce partners and small businesses. These efforts demonstrate to clients that PCL is a builder that understands community priorities and delivers projects with purpose. Her work supports sustainable growth, expands access to new markets and fosters project teams that reflect the communities they serve.
Internally, Shingles helps strengthen PCL’s culture by engaging employees in community efforts that align with both company values and individual passions. By connecting PCL employees to causes they care about and creating opportunities for meaningful involvement, she supports employee engagement, pride and a stronger sense of belonging. Her work helps teams better understand the communities they build in, leading to stronger collaboration and more successful project outcomes.
Shingles’ industry involvement is a reflection of her values. She serves on the board of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Minneapolis-St. Paul Chapter, supporting leadership development and access to construction careers. She also serves on the board of Elpis Enterprises, focused on ending youth homelessness and remains actively engaged with workforce development and industry organizations supporting women- and minority-owned businesses. Through these networks, she connects people to opportunity, linking small businesses to resources, individuals to career pathways and community organizations to partners that advance shared goals.
