Maria Alvarado began her career with PCL in 2015, joining the estimating department shortly after completing a college internship with the company. In 2018, driven by a desire to see projects take shape from beginning to end, she transitioned to the field and has since played a key role in major water infrastructure projects across Arizona and California. Her dedication to this vital sector stems from a deep belief in the importance of water as our most essential resource, and she is committed to ensuring these projects are built to stand the test of time.

As Project Manager for Civil West, Maria brings a collaborative approach to complex delivery challenges, guiding teams through planning, execution and closeout with precision and care. Her experience spans estimating, field engineering and project controls, giving her a comprehensive understanding of how to balance scope, schedule and quality. Recent work includes the San Luis Obispo Wastewater Plant overhaul, where Maria helped lead innovative solutions to improve treatment capacity and sustainability. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Arizona State University and continues to champion infrastructure that strengthens communities and protects critical resources.
