Ryan Richardson is the area manager for Fargo Buildings, where he leads construction operations and expansion efforts across the North Dakota market. In this role, Richardson provides strategic direction and operational leadership to deliver outstanding project outcomes while strengthening relationships with clients, trade partners and the local community.

Richardson’s career with PCL began in 2008, when he joined the company as an intern while pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management at South Dakota State University. After graduating in 2010, he joined PCL full-time and has since built more than 15 years of experience across a wide range of complex projects. His portfolio spans higher education, manufacturing, healthcare, laboratories, government, transportation and wastewater treatment facilities. This experience informs his collaborative and solutions-focused leadership style.

In 2024, Richardson was promoted to area manager for Fargo Buildings, where he is focused on expanding PCL’s footprint in North Dakota while supporting teams in delivering work that reflects PCL’s commitment to operational excellence and long-term client partnerships.

Richardson’s passion for construction began at an early age, rooted in an interest in creating structures built to endure. He views construction as more than the finished building: it is about developing lasting relationships and contributing to work that creates long-term value for clients and communities.

One of Richardson’s proudest accomplishments is leading the construction of the new Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, a transformative healthcare project with a lasting impact on the community it serves. Looking ahead, Richardson is eager to continue growing PCL’s presence in North Dakota, with a particular focus on healthcare and manufacturing projects that create meaningful, long-term value for clients and communities alike.
