PCL Industrial Construction Co. provided construction services for the installation of a Gasoline Benzene Reduction (GBR) unit in the Commerce City, CO, refinery. This system uses CDTech catalyst distillation technology along with URS new process equipment to integrate into the refinery's existing operation. The GBR project consists of the installation of drilled piers, structural steel, piping, electrical and instrumentation, mechanical equipment, insulation, painting, and specialty subcontracts to install a GBR system in Suncor Energy's Commerce City refinery near downtown Denver, CO.
