The City Square project, located in the heart of downtown Regina, was part of the city’s efforts to revitalize the downtown area. The 75,000-square-foot festival plaza was designed for community gatherings, such as farmers’ markets and music festivals.

Even in the face of design challenges and public eye opinions, we were successful in recreating Victoria Park and surrounding streets to become a more welcoming environment. The improvements included granite paving stones, decorative lighting, new trees and steel shade structures, while the roadway was resurfaced with no curbs.

We placed nearly 56,503 cubic feet of concrete on the project and installed 163 piles to support the 145 tons of steel light fixtures, canopies, sunshade structures and two building foundations.
