HOUSTON (June 23, 2026) – PCL Construction is proud to announce that Donny Kiehn, district commissioning manager for PCL’s solar division, has been named to Engineering News Record (ENR) Texas & Southeast’s 2026 Top Young Professionals list. The annual recognition honors emerging leaders under 40 who are making a significant impact on the construction industry through leadership, technical expertise and service.

Kiehn plays a critical role in advancing PCL’s utility‑scale solar and battery energy storage portfolio across North America. As district commissioning manager, he leads complex energization and commissioning programs, aligning technical design with field execution to enable safe, reliable project delivery. His experience spans substations, transmission systems and high‑voltage infrastructure on some of PCL largest solar projects.

A recognized safety‑first leader, Kiehn is a trained high‑voltage substation operator and a key contributor to PCL’s electrical safety leadership during commissioning and grid connection. His work reinforces PCL’s commitment to high‑voltage vigilance by ensuring teams have the training, procedures and controls needed to manage electrical risk on energized solar sites
