Guelph, ON (June 2, 2026) — PCL Construction is marking the start of construction on the new Guelph Transit and Fleet Services Facility that will support the City of Guelph’s focus on a more resilient transportation network.
The 280,000 square-foot facility will store, charge and maintain Guelph’s electric buses alongside municipal fleet vehicles. Once complete, it will play a key role in modernizing transit operations.

This facility is designed to support transit and fleet services for decades to come, enabling efficient, effective operations that can grow alongside the needs of this community.”
Following the completion of the preconstruction phase, PCL is now leading construction on this complex, multi-faceted facility in collaboration with prime consultant Stantec and architects Strasman Architects Inc. The project will include a vehicular and pedestrian bridge, a precast parking structure and storage facility, electric bus charging infrastructure, a fleet maintenance building and administrative offices.
Construction is expected to be complete in 2029.
