Edmonton, Alberta (July 20, 2020) – The PCL family of companies is pleased to announce we are participating in the “POST Promise,” an initiative endorsed by the federal government.
POST Promise is a business-led program that involves a voluntary training and education program. It will be used by companies to let both employees and customers know that proper health and safety measures are being followed to mitigate COVID-19 at all its job and office sites. The program centers on five key strategies aimed at reducing the spread of COVID-19:
- Maintain social distancing.
- Stay home if unwell.
- Practise respiratory etiquette.
- Clean and disinfect regularly.
- Wash and sanitize hands.
PCL’s COVID-19 HSE practices already include these measures and many more. However, we believe that support of the POST Promise both within our workplaces and as a more widespread Canadian movement is an important step toward Canada managing responsibly through and moving carefully beyond the COVID-19 impacts. We applaud all businesses that have already made these commitments and invite businesses of all types to join PCL and others in making the POST Promise. Dave Filipchuk, PCL’s president and CEO, says, “We are proud to be part of a collective solution to help Canadians confidently and safely make their way back into the workplace and public spaces knowing their well-being is always top of mind.”
Visit the POST Promise website for more information and to learn how you and your business can also make a promise.
