Edmonton, Alberta (December 12, 2023) – PCL Construction’s Edmonton-area offices and job-sites are proud to share the total funds raised in their annual United Way of the Alberta Capital Region fundraising campaign. PCL employees exceeded their goal of $2.35 million and raised an amazing $2.391 million.
This year’s campaign theme was “Driving Change - Fuelling Our Community” and consisted of a number of different events, personal donations, and corporate matching over the two-week campaign. An exciting parking lot tricycle grand prix, a soak your leader fundraiser, ping pong ball drop, an online auction and a Be-Seen-In-Jeans week were just some of the fun that helped get employees engaged and donating.
“The last couple of years, and especially this year, have seen many economic and other challenges taking place for a lot of people. I’m proud our PCL family always comes together to donate both time and funds to make a difference for our community’s less fortunate and those struggling right now,” said PCL’s 2023 United Way campaign chair, Ian McKinnon. “The impact will be felt by so many in helping lift them out of poverty, as we strive to drive change and leave no one behind!”
United Way donations in the Alberta Capital Region help deliver over one hundred programs that lift people out of poverty and prevent those at risk of falling into it.
