Edmonton, Alberta (August 25, 2026) – PCL Construction is pleased to announce that Ryan Kuntz has joined the Edmonton Buildings & Civil team as Operations Manager, bringing more than two decades of experience with PCL and a strong track record of delivering complex projects and building lasting client relationships.

In his new role, Kuntz will support operations across the district, working closely with project teams, preconstruction, and leadership to drive performance, strengthen collaboration, and ensure consistent delivery across a growing portfolio of work.

A graduate of NAIT’s Construction Engineering Technology program, Kuntz holds a Certified Technician (C.Tech.) designation. He began his career with PCL in Edmonton in 2004 before moving to Calgary in 2015, where he played a key role in delivering projects and supporting clients across the region. His return to Edmonton marks both a leadership transition and a homecoming.

Reflecting on the move, Ryan shared:

“I’m excited to be making the move into the Operations Manager role with PCL Construction, Edmonton Buildings and Civil. Calgary has been a big part of my career, and I’ll miss the people, clients, and communities we’ve worked with and supported there.

This move is also a bit of a return for me. I started my career with PCL Edmonton before heading to Calgary, so I’m looking forward to reconnecting with the team and the industry here. Edmonton has a strong group in place and a lot of great work underway. I’m looking forward to getting in, meeting everyone, and doing my part, supporting our people, delivering for our clients, and continuing to build on the relationships already in place.”

Ryan’s appointment reflects PCL’s continued investment in experienced leadership to support growth across the Edmonton region and build on the district’s strong foundation.

Ryan succeeds Ben Wagemakers who is transferring to PCL in Saskatoon.
