Amanda brings over eight years of construction experience, a strong foundation in construction management, and a proven track record from her time at PCL Construction. She is passionate about driving successful projects and fostering meaningful collaboration across the industry. Dedicated to work that directly supports the communities where people live, work, and play, she pairs technical expertise with strong leadership to ensure excellence at every stage of a project. Actively involved in community initiatives such as the Special Olympics of Minnesota and engaged with industry organizations like the Association of Women Contractors, Amanda is committed to building both impactful structures and meaningful connections that empower teams and create lasting, positive change.
She began her PCL career as a temporary administrative assistant covering for an employee on maternity leave. During that time, she proved to be a valuable asset and, despite having little knowledge of construction at first, developed a passion for the industry. To deepen her understanding, she visited job sites whenever possible and enrolled in night classes to earn her construction management certificate. After completing the program, Kelsey transitioned into a construction role. Today, she works as a project manager in the Special Projects division out of the company’s Minneapolis office.
She thrives in collaborative environments, especially when her team encounters an error or omission. Kelsey comes alive when everyone works together to find the best solution, and she values constant communication and proactive thinking as essential to success.
Outside of work, Kelsey serves as head coach for a competitive swim team at Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, where she works with athletes with physical disabilities. She believes her swimming background has shaped her to be headstrong, self-motivated, and driven, all qualities that help her excel in construction. With so many moving parts in the industry, unexpected challenges are inevitable, but Kelsey says swimming taught her to stay flexible and ready for anything.
