In the vast landscape of civil construction, one name stands out as a driving force behind innovation and sustainability - Ankur Talwar. As the district manager for PCL’s Civil Infrastructure Division in the Western United States, Talwar brings over three decades of experience across North America to the forefront of complex infrastructure development. Under his leadership, PCL is delivering some of the region’s most ambitious and technically demanding projects.

Talwar's connection with the world of construction runs deep. His father was a part of the PCL family starting in the 1970s, and it was this early exposure that ignited Talwar’s lifelong fascination with the industry. Talwar is a chemical engineer by trade, earning a degree from the University of Calgary and an MBA from Florida Atlantic University. Talwar's professional journey began within PCL's industrial group in Canada, followed by progressive and senior leadership roles across the United States and Canada focusing on collaborative delivery projects in the transportation infrastructure, water and wastewater infrastructure, aviation, solar and industrial markets. 

In his current role, Talwar is especially dedicated to ensuring people continue to have access to safe water, especially in the face of a looming water crisis across the world. He emphasizes that many of PCL’s water and wastewater infrastructure projects play a pivotal role in safeguarding access to this precious commodity. Under Talwar’s leadership, PCL has delivered some of the most advanced and innovative water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the country. An advocate for developing strong partnerships during a construction project, Talwar champions collaborative delivery models that emphasize innovation and teamwork.

Outside of his work at PCL, Talwar is a proud member of industry organizations, including the Design Build Institute of America, the Water Collaborative Delivery Association, and the WateReuse Association. It's within these associations that he collaborates with like-minded professionals to drive innovation and progress.
