With more than 24 years at PCL, Blake Holtom has earned a reputation for excellence on some of the industry's most complex projects. Throughout his tenure, he has led major aviation, hospitality, and zoological builds from concept to completion, combining technical expertise with a steady, people-first approach.

Holtom began his career at PCL as an intern, approaching the field with a "learn-everything-you-can" mindset. This attitude quickly earned him a reputation for adaptability and as a valuable team player. He manages all projects from aviation to hospitality with trust, honesty and transparency, believing that strong client relationships are built on open communication and a shared commitment to success.

As one of the country’s leading experts in aviation construction, Holtom’s career has been defined by managing sensitive, high-security environments with tight timelines and multi-phase coordination. Airport projects demand a high level of technical skill and collaboration, which Holtom says ultimately results in some of the most rewarding outcomes.  His experience has taken him from working on upgrades in Miami to leading a complex international terminal project at LAX. More recently, it includes overseeing ongoing work at Denver International Airport.

Among the projects Holtom has led, his work at the Miami zoo project holds a special place in his memory. In addition to working with passionate partners, he enjoyed seeing the process of building new habitats for exotic animals, where creativity is essential and safety is mandated. What made the Miami zoo experience truly meaningful, however, was the opportunity to give back at the project's conclusion. Holtom and his team were able to donate leftover materials to the zoo, enabling necessary repairs and upgrades to other enclosures—an example of how construction can leave a positive, tangible legacy beyond the initial build.

Though his project expertise has a vast range, one constant has been Holtom’s passion for developing people. He applies this passion by dedicating time to mentoring future construction managers, superintendents and project leaders. For Holtom, mentorship is not just a responsibility; it's a long-lasting legacy he can leave for the future of the industry.

Holtom holds a degree from Brigham Young University and is a LEED Accredited Professional, as well as an Associate member of the Design-Build Institute of America.
