Located at the intersection of Bremner and York Streets in Toronto’s dynamic business core, 16 York offers unmatched access with a direct link to the City’s 30 kilometer underground pedestrian PATH network. The premium 33-story, 870,000 square foot office building is a beam and girder concrete structure that includes four levels of below grade parking and secure underground parking for 331 bicycles, complete with change and shower facilities.

Focused on workplace performance and wellbeing, 16 York incorporates open, flexible floors and floor-to-ceiling windows. Targeting LEED® Platinum certification and WELL Building Standards, this office tower provides optimal operational efficiency, performance and comfort. The welcoming main lobby is finished with stone and wood while a dramatic wrap around canopy features a green roof.

To drive value to our client's bottom line, we implemented our Job Site Insights™ (JSI™) smart construction platform and innovative sensor technology to monitor and analyze flood, leak detection, temperature and humidity levels on-site. The system at 16 York consists of four sensors on each floor with a total of 200 sensors on site. The data is streamed 24/7 through the cloud (our unique IoT hub) to a digital dashboard where we can detect and mitigate potential risks early, in addition to optimizing construction processes, accelerating schedule and reducing costs based on real time data. For example, monitoring concrete cure times facilitated getting follow-up trades on site sooner and accelerated the work sequence.
