The Capilano branch of the Edmonton Public Library is a single-story, 11,000-square-foot facility bordering Edmonton’s Fulton Ravine that serves over 165,000 visitors annually. The building blends into the surrounding landscape and incorporates natural light and serene views of the river valley for those reading, studying and participating in the library’s community programs. The library’s Makerspace area capitalizes on innovative technology, including a 3D printer, computers with specialized software, a sewing machine and vinyl cutter.

Our Special Projects division helped to divert 95% of construction waste from landfills; 83% of waste diversion attributable to wood, metals, drywall and concrete; and 23% of new product costs came from recyclable materials.
