PCL Industrial Construction Co. mobilized to Formosa’s Point Comfort operation in 2018 and has successfully managed nine subprojects over the past six years with outstanding safety and quality results. The works range from greenfield to brownfield, lump sum to reimbursable, modularized to turnaround tie-ins, dayshift to nightshift, and anything in between.
The project ASP-2 Air Separation Project, located in Point Comfort, TX, supports the Texas Ethylene Glycol Plant II (EG-2) project. The project work scope involved setting 62 pieces of equipment, installing 15,000 linear feet of piping, 100 tons of structural steel, installing eight prefab structural and pipe modules, the installation and check out of all electrical and instruments, conduit and cable trays, as well as all commissioning support for on-time startup. PCL also supplied and erected a machine house building (11,000 SF) and performed the installation of MCC electrical distribution panels inside a prefabbed tilt wall building by others.
