The four-story, 77,500-square-foot Greenstone Building is a model for sustainable development and home to 200 public servants. As a LEED Gold project, the building takes maximum advantage of daylight during both the short winter days and long summer nights.

Greenstone houses the second largest commercial building photovoltaic system in the world. A south-facing atrium acts as a winter room, which not only maximizes snowy views, but enhances the thermal performance of the building.

One of our major goals throughout the project was to add as many additional green and LEED features as possible, including finding a solution to the groundwater problem. We were successful in creating a water collection source which allowed us to utilize 100% groundwater for all toilet flushing.
