California State University is moving away from its commuter college status and transforming into a destination university. The school’s first dorm style housing is the perfect addition to provide students with on-campus, affordable living options.

The student housing was built with wood framed walls, which were manufactured off-site. Through this innovative, modular approach, we reduced installation times which led to a flawless health, safety and environment (HSE) record.

To add to the building’s aesthetic, the common area’s roofline was designed with an architectural eye and resembles a complex geometric shape. Large student artwork displays are also featured throughout the resident hall to embellish the living space.

The four-story residential building has space for 506 beds, including double, triple and quadruple bedrooms and single rooms for resident advisors. In addition, the structure includes a common area for group gatherings in study rooms or lounges.
