The design and construction of the Teranet Data Centre involved the conversion of a suburban warehouse into a 12,000-square-foot data and office space. The 15-month project was carried out in three phases, including site selection, design development and construction execution. To maintain cost and operational efficiency, we designed the center to facilitate future data storage expansion.
The building was designed to meet the Uptime Institute’s Data Centre Site Infrastructure Tier Standard III, which required rigorous uptime and long-term viability to ensure an effective life beyond the current IT standards. The certification was achieved through a well-planned and well-executed Integrated Systems Test. This involved the installation of multiple independent distribution paths serving IT equipment, which was dual-powered and compatible with the building’s design.
