The Don CeSar is a Florida Gulf Coast icon, known for its rich history and incredible beauty. The Don CeSar, coined the name “Pink Palace” due to its distinctive pink color. The resort opened in 1928 during the prime of the Great Gatsby Era. PCL’s renovations to the “Pink Palace” bring a much-needed revival to the nearly 100-year-old resort, blending its historic charm with modern-day comforts. PCL was tasked with carefully carrying out these renovations to preserve the resorts historical integrity. It was imperative that the project team was mindful of the historical finishes located throughout the building and took great care to preserve the well-maintained historical features.

PCL Construction has served as the general contractor for multiple renovations that include work at both the Don CeSar hotel and the Beach House Suites property. At the Don CeSar hotel renovations include a lobby bar, Maritana Grille and Uncle Andy's, ballrooms, meeting spaces, guest room corridors and the conversions of five existing spaces into a club and fitness center. The Beach House Suites renovations include a complete remodel of the guest check-in lobby, hotel offices, meeting rooms and a 20,000 square-foot exterior renovation.

For each project, PCL team has been committed to fulfilling The Don CeSar’s vision to enhance and expand the historic, award-winning resort by fusing modern amenities, sleek design, and world class experiences to set the tone for generations to come.
