The University of North Dakota’s Collaborative Energy Complex creates a significant engineering and research complex on the campus. It features a 40-foot bay lab ceiling and a mock oil rig for education and research.

Construction of this building took an innovative and digital approach to keep the community informed about construction. Initial research indicated pedestrians, particularly students, were distracted by their phones. All around campus, students were looking down at their phones rather than up at potential warning signs. Knowing this, we placed safety stickers on the ground around the project’s location. These stickers informed students about the nearby construction project and stood the test of North Dakota winter.
