The Yellowknife Multipurpose Facility project consisted of building two ice areas and two gymnasiums totaling more than 102,504 square feet. The building sits on rock steel piles, while the arena floor is an independent raft slab. The building houses a mixture of gymnasiums, gymnastic spaces, an ice-skating rink and full locker rooms. The facility is configured to accommodate community events, meetings and conferences.
