Valente’s outstanding service was further recognized in 2014 when he was named CCA’s General Contractor of the Year and he was inducted as a lifetime member to the Vancouver Regional Construction Association. He is also a recipient of the 2012 Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal.
PCL Westcoast welcomes Todd Craigen to the role of vice president and district manager. He joins Sean Brock, vice president and district manager, who has held leadership positions in this Vancouver-based district since 1991.
Drawing on nearly 25 years of experience, Craigen applies the substantial knowledge he has gained of project-delivery methods to meet each client’s unique needs in the civil, commercial, institutional, and light industrial sectors. He has led major projects in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick. Most recently, he fulfilled the duties of district manager for PCL’s newest full-service district office in Saskatoon.

Craigen studied architectural engineering at the Saskatchewan Institute for Applied Science and Technology, is Gold Seal certified in project management by the Canadian Construction Association, and coauthored a white paper on virtual design and construction (VDC). He is an active advocate for the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg, having spent six years as construction manager on this iconic national museum, which was delivered using VDC. To give back to the industry, Craigen has served as a board director for the Ottawa General Contractors Association, the Saskatoon Construction Association, and the Saskatchewan Construction Association.
