OTTAWA, ON (November 18, 2015) – PCL Constructors Canada Inc. is pleased to have completed the new single-family home build for Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa (Habitat GO) at 979 Eve Street in Ottawa. We are honoured to be giving Barb Wolfe and her family the keys to her new home during a dedication ceremony on Wednesday, November 18, 2015.
“This project came to fruition as part of our 25th anniversary here in the Nation’s Capital and also because of the commitment, passion and excitement that our suppliers, trade contractors and Habitat for Humanity put into this project. We hope that this home for Barb and her daughters will bring greater well-being and a safe environment to her in Ottawa,” said Kevin Skinner, vice president and district manager for PCL Ottawa. “Through collective volunteering and generous giving both internally and with our trade/supplier parnters in the industry, PCL employees strive to make a positive, lasting impression and to help transform the lives of those in need through these and many other donations and in-kind gifts.”
The PCL family of companies supports  Habitat for Humanity, a charitable organization dedicated to building homes and hope for well-deserving families. Many of our districts throughout Canada and the U.S. participate in multiple builds. These operations include Edmonton, Winnipeg, Seattle, Anchorage, Denver, Los Angeles, Charlotte, and Atlanta.  Our employees pledge their personal time in support of these builds.
“As they celebrate their 25th anniversary, PCL is demonstrating tremendous community leadership through this partnership,” says Alexis Ashworth, Habitat GO’s CEO. “We are incredibly grateful for their financial support and employee volunteerism, which will change the life of an urban Aboriginal family.”
