PCL Construction Receives Champions of Inclusion Award

DENVER, CO (November 19, 2014) – The PCL family of companies is pleased to announce that PCL Civil Constructors, Inc. in Seattle has been awarded the Champions of Inclusion Award from Sound Transit. Sound Transit and the City of Tacoma presented the award at the Fifth Annual Prime Contractor & Consultant Champion Awards and Business After Hours Reception. The event recognized three prime contractors and/or consultants as champions of small business development.

In Sept​ember, PCL Construction partnered with Sound Transit and the City of Tacoma to lead the hands-on pilot training program for small businesses to share quality and safety methods, and effective techniques for concrete flatwork construction. PCL received the award, in part, for its efforts in small business training for this pilot program. The partnership was part of PCL’s continued commitment to the development and advancement of a dynamic culture that allows everyone involved to learn, teach, and improve the community.
