Toronto, ON (October 5, 2017) – The Ontario General
Contractors Association (OGCA) recognized the safety achievements of PCL Construction’s
Ontario operations at its annual safety awards ceremony held on September 29,
"As we promote safety excellence among our members and
our industry, we are encouraged to work alongside safety-minded leaders like
PCL,” said OGCA president Clive Thurston. "Safety needs to be celebrated
as an industry, and each of us should be proud of our achievements, because as
a group, OGCA contractors are the safest contractors in the country."
The OGCA presented the awards to companies who recorded the
lowest accident frequencies. PCL’s distinctions included the Category I, 2016 Milestone,
and Distinguished Achievement in Health and Safety awards.
- Selected from amongst 11 other OGCA members who individually
achieved over 200,000 hours worked without a lost time incident, PCL was
recognized as the Category I Winner

personal reason for working safely, and I want to thank everyone across our
