Edmonton,
Alberta (January 16, 2017) – The PCL family of companies is pleased to announce
that its chairman, and former
president and CEO, Paul Douglas, has been named to the Alberta Business Hall of
Fame, sponsored by Junior Achievement. The announcement was made in front of
the Junior Achievement Business Wall of Fame in Manulife Place, in downtown
Edmonton.
Junior
Achievement laureates
are chosen for their outstanding achievements in free enterprise and their
dedication to community service in ways that inspire all young Albertans.
“I am extremely
honored to be chosen as a laureate
and named to the Alberta Business Hall of Fame,” said Mr. Douglas. “Being
recognized for all of the successful work PCL has done during my career with this amazing construction
company is truly fulfilling.”
Mr. Douglas
is the most recent honoree from PCL to receive this award; other company
recipients include Ross Grieve (2007) and the late Bob Stollery (1990) and John
and George Poole (1980).
The Alberta
Business Hall of Fame was established in 1980 by Junior Achievement of Northern
Alberta and Northwest Territories. Learn

presentation gala and induction ceremony will be held in honor of Mr Douglas and the other
2017 inductees on May 3, 2017, in Edmonton.
