This Cargill project involved the construction of a 20-foot, steel-framed structure on an existing grain terminal site for the addition of a new color sorter, drag conveyors, cartridge filters and associated electrical/controls, and building mechanical.
PCL installed specialty equipment such as drag and screw conveyors, cyclones, electric probe grain sorter, 3000 CFM cartridge filter, and two colour sorters. All necessary process spouting/piping and equipment controls were also installed.
The project included a preassembled 53-foot steel structure to provide access to the bucket elevator service platform.
The new building is adjacent to an existing concrete silo house. This site was active during construction, and crews used careful planning to prevent disruption to Cargill's ongoing operations.
