This 30,000-square-meter, three-story office building is the corporate headquarters for ENMAX Corporation and includes all major departments of the company, such as their executive leadership team and customer-service call center. ENMAX is bringing employees back from off-site locations and required reconfiguration of their existing space, which housed approximately 1200 employees, to increase the total building occupancy to over 1400.
The client’s goal was to refresh and update interior finishes while amalgamating multiple office locations under one roof. The team worked within active office environments where only minimal displacement of existing occupants was permitted. This was achieved by working multiple crew shifts during evenings and weekends and implementing construction hoardings to deal with dust, safety, and sound considerations for occupants adjacent to the construction areas. This work was done within tight timelines. Through meticulous planning, scheduling, and project execution, the team was able to provide new workstations to employees while causing little disruption to their day-to-day activities.
