This restaurant renovation project resulted in a new 5,662-square-foot bar, a 734-square-foot restroom, and a 1,000-square-foot entry vestibule. Located on the second floor of the Orlando World Center Marriott, High Velocity Sports Bar & Grill features wood veneer, brushed aluminum base boards, poured concrete counter tops (Sensitile), and ceramic and stone flooring.
PCL's Special Projects division value engineered the bathroom vanity tops in a way that saved the client several weeks off the schedule and $11,000 off the budget. The original tops were specified by the architect to come from a California fabricator, but PCL’s relationships with local contractors revealed these tops could be fabricated right in Orlando. Using a local contractor also contributed to quality assurance, trades coordination, and simplified scheduling.
