As a part of a joint-venture, PCL is constructing the Midfield Satellite Concourse (MSC) North project, a five-level, 750,000-square-foot expansion building, at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The facility enhances the passenger experience, adding 12 gates, a redeveloped guest entrance, LA-centric food, beverage, and retail offerings, airline club spaces, a new baggage handling system, and a 1,000-foot, underground pedestrian bridge with moving walkways to connect the Midfield Concourse to the nearby Tom Bradley International Terminal. It also adds much-needed airside infrastructure such as additional taxilanes, taxiways, apron, and utilities, and space for future technology and security upgrades, to one of the nation’s busiest airports.
The Midfield Satellite Concourse is seeking LEED Silver certification as well as CAL Green Tier 1 certification. It is scheduled for completion in January 2020.
