This project is a 30,794-square-foot hotel renovation of the public spaces at Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay. The completed renovation features a new lobby and check-in counter, office space, private dining, and a restaurant-turned-boardroom.
Key to the success of this project were logistics that allowed for the hotel to remain fully operational while under construction. To keep the hotel open, PCL's Special Projects division had to relocate the guest check-in counter to a common space on the third floor. The porte cochere was relocated to the garage area so the existing space could be revitalized. During construction, the existing porte cochere was used to store material, haul off debris, and secure material, while still allowing hotel staff access to below-ground valet parking.
