The Ross Grieve Centennial Learning Centre (CLC) is a 29,000-square-foot addition linking the two largest buildings in the 40-year-old PCL business park: the single-story Canada Head Office building and the two-story Edmonton-based Industrial and commercial construction operations building.
The CLC’s main level includes reception, offices for human resources and professional development, and a new boardroom. In the basement is a state-of-the-art training room for up to 60 students, remote training and video conference rooms, meeting rooms, a large lunchroom, and a spacious Grand Hall that looks out onto a half acre of landscaped gardens.
The PCL family of companies is committed to environmental stewardship and construction excellence, and the project team worked with the consultant to achieve LEED Gold on the CLC. As a builder, PCL ensured the facility exceeded all finish and quality expectations, achieved through mock-ups of new materials and finish combinations not previously used.
The PCL family of companies is proud to have the Ross Grieve Centennial Learning Centre be the first LEED Gold-certified private building in Canada.
