NEPCO/PCL, A Joint Venture, was contracted to engineer, procure, construct, and commission the Scotford Cogen project for Air Liquide Process & Construction Inc. The project consisted of a GE Frame 7EA gas turbine generator, a heat recovery steam generator, an auxiliary boiler, and the balance of plant equipment. The facility supplies 147 tonnes per hour of high-pressure steam and 80 megawatts of power.
Engineering and commissioning was performed by NEPCO, while construction was by PCL. Driven steel piles, concrete equipment foundations, a preengineered building, a gas turbine/generator, a heat recovery steam generator, an auxiliary boiler, and the balance of the plant's piping, electrical, and instrumentation systems were PCL’s responsibility.
