Located at the SIAST Wascana Campus in Regina, this project called for the fit-up of a 20,451-square-foot teaching facility for school’s nursing program. The renovations were the final stage of expansion to the program and had a firm completion date due to funding requirements. The project involved two floors at the campus: lecture rooms and student lounge area on the main floor, and staff offices on the second floor. Involved in the early stages of the project, PCL was able to provide advice on both budget and schedule.
A reputation of meeting aggressive schedules while accommodating the tenant’s operations in the remainder of the building made PCL the perfect contractor for this project. The team’s intimate knowledge of the facility and familiarity with the client’s needs aided in the early detection of potential problems and the subsequent resolution. The project was a success in that it was delivered on time and within budget, and the client was afforded ample time to complete their preparations for the fall semester.
