The Signature Flight Lake Nona Office project includes the tenant fitout of three floors and approximately 65,000 square feet of Class-A office space within the Lake Nona Town Center Office Building II, the core and shell of which was constructed by PCL under a separately awarded contract. PCL’s scope of work includes the build-out of working areas such as conference rooms, collaborative huddle rooms, quiet zone booths, offices, workstations, and executive suites with glazed glass walls and floating ceilings. Also included are multipurpose rooms, restrooms, wellness rooms, and breakrooms on each floor, with a 5th floor dining café and a 6th floor reception area. Branded elements such as graphic window film glazing and feature walls establish Signature Flight’s identity within the office space.
The buildout of the Signature Flight office was completed on an aggressive timeline. The project began in July with the expectation that it would be completed in December of the same year. The fast-track nature of the project meant PCL needed to staff the project with two project managers, two engineers and two superintendents. Work was conducted on most weekends for the duration of the project, as well as during extended hours throughout the week. Subcontractors were contractually bound to meet their scheduled durations, which encouraged each trade partner to complete their work as outlined in the project schedule.
