PCL's Special Projects division performed an addition and renovation at Sunridge Mall for Shoppers Drug Mart and Cora's Restaurant. Shell turnover to Shoppers Drug Mart was completed just two months after demolition began, and turnover to Cora's happened one month after that. PCL collaborated with tenant contractors to ensure both Cora’s and Shoppers would meet their grand opening dates.
PCL also performed tenant improvements for Mobilicity in the main area of the mall. Demolition included removing the old east mall entrance canopy and salvaging all 850 square feet of brick masonry. As part of PCL’s ongoing sustainability effort, the reclaimed brick was then used in the exterior finish, and all metals, drywall, and wood products were recycled.
All work was completed within an operational mall, without disruption to tenants or clients.
