Los Angeles, CA (May 5, 2021) – PCL Construction is pleased to announce that Aaron Yohnke is promoted to senior vice president for PCL’s California Buildings group, overseeing all operations throughout Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego.
Aaron has an innate ability to activate and develop teams along with his relentless focus on innovation to evolve the industry and support PCL’s clients and partners. In addition to overseeing California’s operations, Aaron leads the organization’s social media governance committee where he seeks to advance PCL’s digital presence in the marketplace.

Aaron began his PCL career in 2005 as a project manager and has held various leadership roles across multiple PCL offices, including Special Projects manager, operations manager and district manager. In 2019, Aaron was promoted to vice president and district manager of PCL’s Los Angeles office, the fastest growing office in the organization. That same year, he was also recognized by Engineering News-Record as one of the nation’s Top Young Professionals.
PCL’s California Buildings group continues to deliver unrivaled projects and experiences throughout Southern California headed by a strong leadership team. Aaron is supported by Lucas Mallory, area manager for San Diego, and Steve Whitman, area manager for Orange County. Aaron will continue to work closely with Cathy Orquiola who was recently promoted to regional vice president, overseeing buildings operations throughout California, Seattle and Hawaii.
Aaron brings a wealth of industry experience and knowledge to his role and is well-positioned to expand PCL in its respective markets.
