Marana Water Reclamation Facility Phase 1 – Marana, AZ

The Town of Marana took the opportunity to adopt more sustainable practices while expanding the Marana Water Reclamation Facility. The plant is rated Class A+, the highest level in Arizona, by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ). To earn this high quality rating, the wastewater must pass a set of rigorous treatment standards set out by ADEQ, including reducing total nitrogen levels to meet drinking-water standards. From there, the water is pumped back into the ground, where it can be reused for landscape irrigation or even toilet flushing.

Largo WWRF Influent Pumping Station and Head Works – Largo, FL

With the capacity to handle 18 million gallons of water per day, the Largo Wastewater Reclamation Facility is well prepared for any hurricanes or intense rain events that may occur. The facility follows standards set by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to produce high-quality, fully treated wastewater, which is used in the City of Largo’s Reclaimed Water System as an alternative source for irrigation and industrial purposes. By encouraging the use of reclaimed water, the city reduces the demand for potable water, all while sustaining a beautiful community.

Bonnybrook Wastewater Treatment Plant Treated Effluent Water Pump Station – Calgary, AB

The Bonnybrook Wastewater Treatment Plant focused on sustainable upgrades with the community and the environment in mind. The pump station now distributes 11 million gallons of treated effluent, or plant service water, per day, which is used for existing plant operations and as cooling water for the Shepard Energy Centre, a nearby power plant.

These three facilities together treat and reuse more than 30 million gallons of water per day, enough to fill 1,694 swimming pools!
