Edmonton, AB (Nov 1, 2019) - Dave Filipchuk, president and CEO of the PCL family of companies, is pleased to announce the following leadership appointment to the Office of the CEO effective November 1, 2019. Gordon Stephenson is promoted to chief financial officer, PCL Construction, and is based in Edmonton, Alberta, at PCL’s North American Headquarters.

Gordon is responsible for all the financial operations of the PCL family of companies. He joins PCL’s Office of the CEO, a group that includes the top senior executive management and leadership of PCL. He brings 19 years of financial experience in the construction industry to his new role, having served most recently as PCL’s vice president, Corporate Finance.

“Gordon has made significant contributions to and has been a strong leader within, our finance team for almost two decades now. His financial acumen, industry knowledge and company experience, make him well qualified to provide financial leadership and strategic vision to PCL,” said president and CEO Dave Filipchuk. “I, along with the rest of the Office of the CEO, look forward to working with Gordon as we continue to be a leader in the construction industry.”  

Gordon joined PCL Construction in 2000 after 15 years with KPMG in Edmonton. Gordon holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and was granted the Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 1989.

Gordon has been instrumental in helping PCL maintain its leading role in the construction industry, and will remain a member of the PCL Construction Holdings board of directors.
