LOS ANGELES (November 20, 2025) – PCL Construction Services, Inc. is proud to have partnered with the City of West Hollywood, the Foundation for the AIDS Monument, and LPA Design Studios to bring to life STORIES: The AIDS Monument, a new landmark in West Hollywood Park, located at 647 N. San Vicente Boulevard. The monument honors lives lost to HIV/AIDS and pays tribute to the survivors, caregivers, activists, and researchers who have stood at the forefront of this crisis.

“Being granted the opportunity to contribute to this monument is an absolute honor,” said Michael Headrick, senior vice president and district manager for PCL’s California Buildings. “It’s a privilege to help bring this powerful vision to life while creating a space that not only honors lives lost and educates future generations, but also stands as a lasting testament to the strength, love and unity of this community.”

At the center of the memorial are 147 bronze artwork pillars designed by artist Daniel Tobin, each etched with text symbolizing memories, personal histories and collective experiences. PCL managed and executed the installation of the pillars, coordinating precise placement, foundation detailing and integration with lighting and landscape elements to ensure the artwork’s intended visual and emotional impact.

Visitors will encounter engraved story walls and an audio archive of personal stories collected through the Hear Our STORIES project.

“STORIES: The AIDS Monument will stand as a lasting legacy for the city of West Hollywood and for the Foundation for the AIDS Monument, which collaborated closely with Artist Daniel Tobin and design and construction teams, including the PCL team, to bring this project to fruition,” said Ric. Abramson, FAIA, City of West Hollywood City Architect and Division Manager for the City’s Urban Design & Architecture Studio. “It was a privilege to work alongside such a deeply committed team of professionals, all of whom were aligned with the vision of creating a powerful remembrance for current and future generations. The AIDS Monument honors those whose lives were lost too soon, those who survived but were forever changed, and those who continue to be affected by AIDS and HIV.”
