DENVER (July 15, 2025) – PCL Construction is proud to announce it has been named Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) 2025 Colorado/Wyoming Contractor of the Year. The recognition from ENR Mountain States & Southwest reflects the company’s continued regional growth, standout project delivery, and deep commitment to community.

“Whether we are improving transportation corridors, expanding critical infrastructure, or restoring hospitality icons, we take pride in helping communities thrive,” said Deron Brown, President and Chief Operating Officer for U.S. Operations. “This award reflects the strength and purpose behind our work, and the people who bring that work to life.”

The value of the projects constructed within Colorado rose from $434 million in revenue in 2023 to more than $500 million in 2024, driven by a strong and strategically diversified portfolio across multiple market sectors. In selecting PCL, ENR editors highlighted signature work in aviation, hospitality, infrastructure, and mixed-use development.

Among the key projects recognized:

16th Street Revitalization Project, a 12.5-block pedestrian and transit corridor in the heart of downtown Denver, designed to enhance safety, mobility, and public enjoyment.

Cherry Lane, a transformative mixed-use redevelopment in Cherry Creek North that spans an entire city block and integrates residential, retail, fitness, and dining.

201 Fillmore, an eight-story commercial high-rise in Cherry Creek North that includes ground-floor retail, rooftop amenities, and five levels of below-grade parking.

The Little Nell and Mountain Chalet renovations, two hospitality restoration projects in Aspen that preserve and elevate iconic mountain properties.

The Klein Water Treatment Facility Enhancement Project, a civil infrastructure effort in Commerce City that will help reduce PFAS concentrations and support long-term water quality.

In 2024, PCL set a new record for project volume and is on pace to surpass it again in 2025. The company also rose to No. 3 on the Denver Business Journal’s list of Colorado’s 94 Largest General Contractors, up from No. 10 the previous year. PCL was named to the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® list for the 16th time and ranked No. 2 on the Denver Business Journal’s Best Places to Work list in the “Giants” category, based on anonymous employee feedback.

PCL’s community involvement continues to be a cornerstone of its culture. In 2024, the company’s Denver-based office raised nearly $630,000 for Mile High United Way, surpassing its $475,000 goal and contributing to a 27-year giving total of $21.2 million. Additional contributions included $35,000 to support Women United and a donation to the Food Bank of the Rockies, part of a $77,000 donation PCL has made to food banks across the country. Team members also volunteer and serve on boards with organizations including Make-A-Wish Colorado, EPIC, Judi’s House, Metro Denver EDC, Florence Crittenton, and the Colorado Chamber of Commerce, among others.

As PCL marks its 50th year in the U.S. the company continues to grow nationally across its buildings, industrial, and civil operations. Through it all, PCL remains focused on its greatest asset: its people.
