TAMPA, FL. (September 9, 2025) – PCL Construction Services, Inc., proudly sponsored the Power Up for School Encore Edition Event, providing school supplies to 150 students in the community.

This sponsorship supplied Tampa students with resources they need to start the school year off prepared. Students received fully stocked backpacks filled with books, pens, crayons, and other essential items, ensuring they have what they need for academic success. In addition to the supplies, students and their families enjoyed a complimentary meal, as well as haircuts, hairstyling, and manicures, adding a fun and uplifting touch to kick off the new school year.

Leroy Moore, Senior Vice President of the Tampa Housing Authority, stated, “An event like this means a tremendous amount to both the parents, who sometimes struggle to get all the necessary supplies for their kids, and to the children, who can celebrate the end of summer while getting properly equipped and motivated for the upcoming school term, allowing them to focus on getting the important work of education done.”

The Power Up for School event was held just steps away from Harrison at Encore!, a commercial mixed-use development being constructed by PCL Construction with an estimated completion date of August 2026. This development spans 646,842 square feet and will benefit the community by providing an accessible grocery store, medical offices, and market-rate housing.
