As district manager for PCL’s Orlando Buildings office, Chris Ritter leads operations across Central Florida, overseeing project delivery, client relationships and the ongoing development of PCL’s tenured presence in the region. Ritter guides the day-to-day operations of the Orlando team while collaborating closely with Rick Goldman, senior vice president of Florida Buildings, to support the company’s expanding area offices in South Florida, Tampa and Jacksonville.

Ritter began his PCL career in Orlando in 2000 as a field engineer, working on highly complex and fast-paced projects for major hospitality and entertainment clients including Disney and Universal. Over the next two decades, he built a reputation for technical expertise, calm leadership and a collaborative mindset that made him a trusted partner to both clients and teams. In 2017, he transferred to PCL’s California Buildings office as operations manager, bringing his deep experience in themed entertainment and large-scale construction to the West Coast. He returned to Orlando in 2024 when he was appointed district manager.

Ritter’s passion for construction began early. After discovering his interest in technical drafting in high school, he pursued a degree in building science at Auburn University before  driven by the tangible, people-centered nature of construction management. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Building Science from Auburn University and is both a LEED Accredited Professional and a Design-Build Institute of America Associate.

With over 25 years at PCL, Ritter attributes much of his career longevity to the company’s culture of employee ownership and the people who uphold it. He believes the ownership model creates a deeper level of accountability and pride — one that clients feel through PCL’s commitment to doing the right thing and delivering exceptional results. When speaking with clients, he emphasizes that every project is personal for PCL employees because they are invested both financially and culturally in the company’s success. Ritter credits witnessing the growth of people and their careers as deeply rewarding.

Ritter has been actively involved in several organizations over the years, including March of Dimes and the American Institute of Architects (AIA), where he previously served as the Orlando representative.  He is currently engaged with the Orlando Economic Partnership,  the Themed Entertainment Association and supports PCL’s involvement with Habitat for Humanity.
