Just like the project name, this facility is filled with various services and purposes. The mixed-use property is essentially a one-stop shop for South Minneapolis community members.

When the project first began, we proposed an alternative plan to the original foundation. We replaced the plan for sheet pile with H piles, which are commonly used in deep foundation applications. Using H piles was a more cost-effective solution and minimized disruptions to the neighboring school.

The project has green roofs that not only add aesthetic but create an essential cooling element.

Due to the project’s close proximity to a local school, we worked to present a solution that would keep the neighboring students safe, while also allowing the project to move forward. We created a construction schedule that accommodated the school’s schedule.

The community continues to flock to this essential space and fully utilizes its various services
