Siemens Healthineers, a leading medical technology company, has a purpose to enable health care providers to increase their value by empowering them on their journey towards expanding the medical field. We joined Siemens and their quest to live out their purpose by renovating the 36,000-square-foot medical office building. The primary function of Siemens Healthineers’ facility is the research and development of ultrasound equipment. The renovation expands and digitizes their health care offering and includes five scan rooms, a disinfection room, lab, offices, restrooms and upgrades to the entry’s façade.

There were several locations that required the relocation or addition of plumbing fixtures to support the new facility. This required our team to use slab-on-grade cutting and trenching for the installation of drain piping. Through an innovative approach, our Special Projects team completed the cutting using extensive scanning, re-routing of the design and well-planned cutting procedures to minimize any future issues. In areas of high electrical congestion, we provided an overhead routing solution with drain pumps.

In order to maintain occupancy and ongoing work throughout the renovation, we delivered the project into seven phases. This allowed the facility to maintain regular operations while ensuring the owner was completely satisfied with their renovation.
