The University of North Dakota (UND) STEM Complex represents a bold, forward-thinking initiative to redefine science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education. Spanning 96,000 SF, this state-of-the-art facility will catalyze innovation and collaboration. By seamlessly integrating programs across engineering, chemistry, physics, and mathematics, it is set to impact over 40% of UND's student body. Set within the historic district of campus, the STEM Complex will incorporate a collegiate Gothic design, blending tradition with modern purpose. The buildings will boast cutting-edge research and teaching labs, dynamic classrooms, faculty offices, and collaborative support spaces, all designed to push the boundaries of learning and discovery. More than just a building, this project epitomizes UND's commitment to preparing students for the workforce, fostering corporate engagement, and advancing groundbreaking research in fields such as transportation, artificial intelligence, and advanced materials. PCL was originally awarded the $140M project in the Fall of 2024. Since then, the project has been broken down into two phases, with this being the first. We anticipate Phase 2 will follow upon completion of Phase 1.
